CommercialBER.ie is operated by Home Energy Rating Solutions, a SEAI-registered building energy assessment business based in Dublin, Ireland (part of the Homerating.ie family). For anything in this policy, contact info@commercialber.ie.
Quote and enquiry forms. When you request a quote or enquiry we collect the details you enter: typically your name, email address, phone number, property type, county (and Dublin area where relevant), approximate size, and anything you add in free-text fields. We use these to prepare your quote and to call or email you back about it. Forms are processed by Formspree, which delivers your submission to our inbox.
Product purchases. If you buy a digital product, payment is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We receive your email address and order details from Stripe so we can deliver your purchase, send the receipt-related correspondence, and provide free updated editions where promised. Order records are kept for accounting and tax purposes as Irish law requires.
Improvement Roadmap questionnaire. Your questionnaire answers are stored securely so your personalised report can be generated and emailed to you, and so we can support you afterwards. Report generation uses Anthropic’s Claude API as a processor; delivery email uses Resend.
Free downloads and reminders. Where a download or the DEC renewal reminder service asks for your email, we use it to deliver what you asked for. Reminder signups are used to send the renewal reminders you requested.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the processors named above, each used solely to provide the service you asked for. We do not send marketing you have not asked for: you hear from us about your quote, your order, or the reminders you signed up to.
The site itself sets no advertising cookies. We use minimal browser storage to remember small things within your visit (for example, that you have already seen the quote panel). If we enable analytics (such as Google Analytics) it is to understand which pages are useful, in aggregate; you can block analytics with standard browser tools without affecting the site.
Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to handle them and a reasonable period after. Order and invoicing records are kept for the periods Irish tax law requires. Questionnaire answers are kept so we can regenerate or support your report; ask us and we will delete them.
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@commercialber.ie and we will deal with it promptly. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
